July -Aug 2024
In an inspiring effort to promote a greener environment, Wagholi residents embarked on a large-scale tree plantation drive during July and August 2024. This initiative, under the banner of "Green Wagholi," saw the community come together to plant more than 3,000 trees throughout the area.
The newly planted saplings were distributed across various residential societies and along roadsides, transforming previously barren or sparse spaces into areas with increased green cover. This collective action not only beautifies the locality but also contributes significantly to improving air quality, increasing biodiversity, and mitigating the urban heat island effect, creating a more sustainable and healthier community for everyone.
